AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two aggravated assault suspects.
Police said the assault, which involved a weapon, happened Aug. 15 around 10:30 p.m. at Pinstack off Canyon Ridge Drive in north Austin.
APD said two women entered the business and one “became aggressive and brandished a weapon towards an employee.” Security then took the suspects outside.
Once outside, APD said one suspect pointed a gun at the security officer after a struggle for the weapon.
The two women drove away in a white Chevrolet vehicle, which was last seen leaving on Canyon Ridge Drive, going toward the Interstate 35 service road.
No one was hurt in this incident, APD said.
APD described suspect one as a Hispanic woman who’s about 5 feet tall with long black hair, a right arm sleeve tattoo, and last seen wearing clear-lensed glasses, a black polo shirt, light blue jeans, and black and red Jordan shoes.
APD described suspect two, who was the driver, as a Hispanic woman who’s about 4 feet 11 inches tall with dark brown hair, and last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts.
Their vehicle was a white, four-door Chevrolet Malibu from around 2013 to 2015, according to APD.
APD encourages anyone with details on the suspects or vehicle involved to call the Aggravated Assault Unit at 512-974-5177. The public can also submit tips anonymously through Capital Area Crime Stoppers at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477.
