AUSTIN (KXAN) — While it will be cool again overnight tonight into Thursday morning, it will still be a few degrees warmer.
Overnight lows will creep higher by Friday morning and into the weekend.
Our increase in overnight warmth is due to an increasing southeasterly flow resulting in more humidity. It won’t be oppressively humid anytime soon, but you will feel more muggy or humid air over the coming days.
Thursday should be mostly sunny, but that added moisture in the air may give way to the tiniest shower chance (<10%) for our eastern counties.
Another Ozone Action Day is in effect for the Austin Metro counties plus Caldwell and Bastrop Counties due to higher levels of ozone produced when pollutants react to sunshine. The air quality may be unhealthy for some sensitive groups.
Generally our weather will hold steady through the weekend with plenty of sunshine, lows in the low 70s and highs in the middle 90s with a little more humidity in the air.
Next week stays dry through at least Tuesday or Wednesday, but beyond that the pattern may break down enough to allow for more than just very limited rain chances.
