AUSTIN (KXAN) — We’re done with showers for the night with a partly cloudy sky giving way to a mostly clear night. Overnight lows drop into the low 70s by daybreak with a lot of upper 60s outside of Austin.
An upper level disturbance drops through North Texas into East Texas on Friday and provides higher rain chances outside of our area, but only 10% rain chances (yet again) for Central Texas during the afternoon and early evening.
This weekend continues this pattern of spotty showers, but mostly dry and very warm otherwise.
Next week our rain chances look higher, but not much higher. Another disturbance may drag a weak cold front toward Central Texas, but the bulk of the lift may be too far to our north to bring anything more than just scattered showers.
For now, limit expectations, but at least our rain chances look higher than just 10%.
