AUSTIN (KXAN) — Our cold front has moved south of the area ushering a northerly wind, cooler and drier air. As a result, rain chances continue to fade after bringing heavy downpours to parts of the Hill Country and northern Austin metro counties earlier today.
Still, we’ll carry low rain chances through the evening (20%) and a 10% rain chance overnight as some lingering moisture and lift may be enough to squeeze out some very light rain.
Tonight will be cooler than last night with lows dropping down into the low 70s under a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy sky.
Early morning clouds on Thursday and a tiny early morning rain chance will give way to increasing sun and decreasing humidity. By afternoon highs will barely reach 90ยบ on Thursday with dew points dropping into the very comfortable 50s.
Cool mornings begin Friday morning with lows in the mid 60s. You can plan on most mornings starting in the 60s through the weekend into early next week.
Our days will feature plenty of sunshine and low 90s through the weekend into early next week.
We don’t have rain chances in our forecast for the rest of the month and early October looks to begin dry as well.
