Editor’s note: Featured pets may be adopted quickly, but there are always others ready for their forever home.
At the Humane Society of North Texas, adoption is about changing lives, one match at a time. Learn more about adoptions at HSNT’s Fort Worth and Keller locations, or at off-site adoption events held six days a week at HSNT.org.
Some stories at the Humane Society of North Texas are filled with boundless puppy energy, others with resilience wrapped in whiskers, but all of them are searching for the same thing: a forever home.
Meet Cherry. Just 2 months old, this terrier mix is all joy, all the time. She bounces from toys to laps with unfiltered puppy enthusiasm, winning over everyone she meets. Cherry is still learning the ropes of puppy life, but with patience, consistency and love, she’s destined to grow into the kind of companion who makes every day brighter.
Then there’s Pico De Gato, a 2-month-old tabby kitten with one eye and a whole lot of confidence. He’s vocal, playful and curious — traits that make him impossible to overlook. Pico doesn’t see limits; he sees opportunities for adventure, whether it’s chasing toys or charming anyone within earshot. He’s proof that resilience can be downright adorable.
Cherry and Pico are just two of the many pets waiting for adoption at HSNT’s Fort Worth location. Behind every kennel door is another life ready to be saved, another best friend waiting to bring joy into a home. Adopting doesn’t just change their life, it changes yours, too.
