AUSTIN (KXAN) — Things are much calmer overnight after plenty of showers arrived. Sunday is looking much cooler with rain sticking around for the day.

Off-and-on showers will continue tonight through Sunday morning. That will be followed by another round of showers and thunderstorms during the day. There will be the potential of isolated rain totals of greater than one inch in some heavy downpours.
The Weather Prediction Center has most of the area in a marginal flood threat Sunday for possible heavy rain in thunderstorms.
Next week
Monday’s forecast includes a 10% chance of a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s.
The rest of the week is mainly dry. A skinny 10% chance of an isolated shower or two pops in Friday afternoon’s outlook.
