Kane White-Tinsley, West Plains football, Sr.
On the field: The West Plains Wolves are off their best start in a short yet very successful four-year history improving to 4-0 after grounding the Bushland Falcons last week 45-0. Two-way standout and UTEP commit Kane White-Tinsley is also off to an impressive senior season with quite the performance against the Falcons. On the offensive side, White-Tinsley proved to be a mismatch for the Bushland secondary snagging six catches for 102 yards with three touchdowns. On defense, White-Tinsley was flying around the field making five tackles while adding an interception.
On the season so far, the senior leads the Wolves with 19 catches for 292 yards and six scores. On the defensive side, the defensive back has 10 tackles with an INT.
Head coach Adam Cummings: “Being 4-0 is exciting but we know we can get better each week. What I love about this team is the approach they take. They are never satisfied and are always wanting to get better. I think that’s what makes Kane so good. He works so hard to get better and better and has each year. His mental game has really come along this year and he is more mature and making the right decisions on the field. He is just a very steady player and gives us a lot of consistency. He does a great job of preparation each week and we love what he’s doing for us.”
White-Tinsley: “I think we playing great overall, but one thing with this group is we always want to improve. We know there is a lot we can get better and at and we just want to make each week better than the last. For me personally, I think I’ve really come into a leadership role this year and that is like a lot of us on the team. No one is selfish and everyone wants to win. I think I’m playing with more confidence and what I did in the summer is starting to show.”
