If you watched the 2025 Ryder Cup this weekend you saw, along with plenty of golf, more than a few LED video boards along the fairways at Bethpage Black on Long Island.
Those LED video boards were provided by Argyle-based GoVision. And while the outcome of the tournament, which pits the best golfers in Europe against the best in the U.S., is yet to be determined at press time, GoVision knows it will set a record.
For the fourth consecutive time that the event has played out on U.S. soil, GoVision LLC has provided screens for the event. But this year, GoVision is blanketing the Ryder Cup course with 27 LED boards of various sizes, sporting more pixels than the exterior of the Las Vegas Sphere or all the video boards in New York’s Times Square and a record for the firm which was founded by Chris Curtis, a TCU graduate and past member of the TCU board of trustees.
“This year’s Ryder Cup is a monumental undertaking — a game-changing event for GoVision and for the sporting industry overall,” said Curtis, chairman of the company. “It’s a record-setting collection of video displays for us, and the largest temporary LED deployment in North American history ever.”
In addition, GoVision’s crew of 30 on-site technicians will be managing more processing power than Mission Control at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
It is a complex operation with screens scattered around the course as well as in the VIP and hospitality areas, said Kevin Faciane, GoVision CEO.
“With only four playing groups at a time on the course, it can be a real challenge for spectators to follow the action. In addition, each screen needs to be produced like its own show so we don’t distract the players or the crowd by showing highlights at the wrong time in the wrong place,” he said.
GoVision’s 27 LED displays will feature 24,308 square feet of video power, with nearly 153 million total pixels. The cutting-edge panels filled 12 53-foot semi-trailers.
Walmart partner opens $120M center
Naterra International, a family-owned American manufacturer based in Coppell has opened a new $120 million, 400,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in north Fort Worth at 13900 Victory Lane.
The event also highlighted Naterra’s more than 30-year relationship with Walmart, which began in 1994 when Walmart became Naterra’s first customer. Over the years, this collaboration has fueled the growth of Naterra’s brands, including Tree Hut, a skin and body care line, and Baby Magic, a brand with baby care products.
“We are thrilled to celebrate Naterra’s expansion in Fort Worth,” said Jerrit Davis, Walmart vice president of merchandising for personal care. “The business growth of one of our longtime partners is a great source of pride and we congratulate the Naterra team on this exciting day.”
The new facility will employ approximately 1,000 when fully staffed, with over 100 already hired.
Trademark work
Trademark Property Co. has started work on the Westbend Residences, a 321-unit multifamily community that broke ground on Sept. 15.
The project is set for completion in the first quarter of 2027. Situated on 3.5 acres along the Trinity Trails, the seven-story Westbend Residences will feature premium finishes, two resort-style pools, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a dog spa and a two-story parking garage. A new ground-floor restaurant space will expand the district’s dining offerings and enhance street-level activity.
Westbend Residences marks the second phase of the Westbend mixed-use community. Trademark redeveloped the first phase in 2016, which includes 281,000 square feet of office and retail space, which is currently 100% leased to a mix of national and local tenants. The district features a public art program.
