
Southbound travelers on I-35 in Austin are being faced with a headache heading home on the afternoon of Monday, March 3.
TxDOT’s Austin outlet reported a crash at I-35 and Braker Lane in Austin at 3:35 p.m. All lanes were closed and diverted to the frontage road.
By 4:15 p.m. TxDOT was reporting that the first three main lanes were cleared but the far right lane and the shoulder were still blocked as a result of the crash. The source of the crash has yet to be announced.
Elsewhere, SigAlert reported that I-35 South at Yager Lane had its right lane blocked due to an accident. Traffic was backed up to Grand Avenue Parkway with stop-and-go congestion. Delays are expected up to one hour, according to the traffic site.
Dripping Springs crash closes highway
A part of US Highway 290 at East Creek Drive in Dripping Springs was closed around 2:45 p.m. on Monday. Texas Department of Public Safety investigated an accident in the area that caused delays for travelers, according to the Hays County Sheriff’s Office. The highway had reopened by 3:30 p.m.
