Investigators are now asking for the public’s help to identify a masked man responsible for robbing a man at gunpoint near a Dunkin’ doughnut shop at Glade Road and 121.
Investigators say the man was picking up the doughnuts for his coworkers early Saturday morning.
“We’ve looked at a lot of different surveillance videos, cameras in the area, and now it’s time for the public’s help,” Amanda McNew said.
Grapevine police say the gunman then took off in the victim’s 2023 blue Dodge Challenger, which has a license plate of TVK 8987.
Investigators believe the suspect may be in the Euless Mid-Cities area.
“Usually when we get surveillance video and we have a license plate, we try to look at other cameras in the area and we were able to find one camera that had the car showing up at about just afternoon on that day,” McNew said.
Police say the man is about 5’6” with a muscular build and was seen wearing a ski mask and dark clothing at the time of the robbery.
Investigators say the victim did everything right in the situation and was able to provide a description of the weapon involved, a black and grey gun.
“We’re glad that the victim is OK. Now we just want to find his property,” McNew said.
