In this economy?
On3 reported that Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers, a redshirt junior who’s led the program from under center since 2022, received a $6 million offer from a program attempting to lure him to transfer. To be clear, it’s widely anticipated that Ewers declares for the 2025 NFL Draft once Texas’ College Football Playoff run concludes later this month, and once he does, (we think) it’s expected that Arch Manning will take his place next season.
NEW: Tampering is at an all-time high with Texas QB Quinn Ewers, @PeteNakos_ reports.

But where would Ewers transfer?
To be even clearer… we have no damn clue. This is tampering, of course.
Oregon, perhaps? Maybe Miami? Or, even wilder, Texas A&M’s long-con plan to get back at Texas athletics for stealing Jim Schlossnagle from the Aggies’ baseball program last year?
In the wild west of modern ewers-facing-program-he-reclassified-to-join-in-cfp-semifinals-at-cotton-bowl-classic/” title=”Ewers facing program he reclassified to join in CFP semifinals at Cotton Bowl Classic”>college football, it’s safe to assume anything is possible.
But would Ewers actually bite at such an offer?
We’d like to think a lifelong Longhorns fan would prefer to end his texas-qb-quinn-ewers-comes-full-circle/” title=”With Cotton Bowl matchup against Ohio State, the career of Texas QB Quinn Ewers comes full circle”>college career in Austin.
Still, $6 million to hang out in college for a couple more semesters is tough to beat.
