AUSTIN (KXAN) — Former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Johntay Cook II is looking for a new place to play college football.
Cook left the Longhorns program in the middle of the 2024 season, a move that head coach Steve Sarkisian said was “mutual.” Cook then joined the Washington Huskies in the December transfer portal window, but now isn’t part of the team according to multiple reports.

Cook played 20 games during two seasons for the Longhorns coming out of Texas high school powerhouse DeSoto. He caught 16 passes for 273 yards with two touchdowns with the Longhorns.
