Texas fifth-year center Jake Majors has joined his fellow offensive lineman Hayden Conner in declaring for the 2025 NFL draft.

“The Forty Acres will always be home, and I will forever bleed Burnt Orange, grateful for everything this university has given me,” Majors said in a statement posted on Instagram. “As I begin the next chapter of my life, I am officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”

Majors has been a constant presence on the offensive line since the end of the 2020 season, starting in his first game against Kansas State. A four-year starter, Majors broke the program’s record for career starts with 57 and became just the seventh football player in the program’s history to start 50 or more games.

Helping lead the team to a 13–3 season, two College Football Playoff appearances, and the Longhorn’s last Big 12 Championship win, Majors has made an impact on the team.

Majors was named the Dan S. Petty Scholar-Athlete for the Longhorns, presented to one student-athlete from each team in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. Majors was also a semifinalist for the 2024 Joe Moore Award and was named the Outland Trophy National Player of the Week and Southeastern Conference’s Co-Offensive Lineman after the Longhorns’ victory against Michigan.

“When I committed to the Longhorn football program, my responsibility was to leave it better than I found it,” Majors wrote. “Through the unwavering support of Coach Sark, Coach Flood, my brotherhood of teammates, and the most loyal fans in college football, I have fulfilled that responsibility and now pass it on to the capable hands of those who follow.”

The four-star offensive lineman from Prosper, Texas, had offers from Texas, Oklahoma, Stanford, SMU, TCU and Missouri but landed on Texas because of academic prestige.

Majors now graduates this year with his bachelor’s in business management from McCombs School of Business.

The NFL Draft starts on April 24, 2025, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, though Majors is not expected to be a day-one pick.
