Will he stay or will he go?

New Texas Longhorns men’s basketball coach Sean Miller is making an impression in Austin since his hiring a few weeks back. And with one of the NCAA’s top male players currently deciding between returning to Texas and declaring for the NBA, Miller proved he can be selfless in his reply to what he hopes to see out of Johnson’s future with the Longhorns.

“What I would say to him is that he needs to go (declare for the NBA draft). That’s the best decision for him and his family,” Miller said, according to Sports Illustrated.

It seems Miller isn’t alone in his assessment of the potentially one-and-done Texas star.

As SI also notes, a recent ESPN NBA mock draft had Johnson falling off this year’s board as high as No. 5 overall; in this scenario, Johnson would join the Philadelphia 76ers.

But see for yourself in June (if Johnson declares.)
