Virginia Tech has also hosted the Florida product.

Transfer portal recruiting for new Texas Longhorns head coach Sean Miller is heating up on the Forty acres with North Dakota State Bison transfer guard Jacari White visiting on Wednesday.

Virignia Tech has also hosted White on an official visit.

A Florida product, White spent one season at State College of Florida before making the move to Fargo, developing into a second-team All-Summit League player in 2024-25, averaging 17.1 points per game while shooting 39.8 percent from three and 85.2 percent from the free-throw line. As a junior, White was named to the Summit League All-Defensive Team after leading the Bison with 29 steals, also pacing North Dakota State with 66 made three-pointers on 45.5-percent shooting from beyond the arc.

With his assist rate matching his turnover rate at 14.9 percent, White is a shooting guard at 6’3, 180 pounds with a high-level jump shot from deep or the mid range and an average finisher at the rim who can use his shot credibility to get into the lane.

The offensive similarities between White and rising senior Jordan Pope raise questions about whether Pope will return for a second season on the Forty Acres because despite the similarities in their playing profiles, White is more efficient than Pope as a jump shooter and has a higher assist rate in addition to being a better defender.
