Texas locks in official visits for two high-priority OL

The Longhorns are set to host two key inofficial visits for two high priority offensive linemen”>-state offensive line targets when the official visit process starts.

Even though the 2026 cycle is really just getting started, we are already seeing recruits fill up their official visit itineraries for later this summer.

On Wednesday, two high-priority offensive line prospects in Euless Trinity’s Pupungatoa Katoa and Prosper offensive tackle Zaden Krempin both announced that they have locked in official visits with the Texas Longhorns for the weekend of June 13th.

Both Katoa and Krempin were in Austin in late January for Texas’ Junior Day and now they have locked in their return trips for the summer to see the Longhorns along with what will be several other high-priority recruiting targets.

Texas recently landed its first offensive line commitment of the cycle in Melissa’s Max Wright, and you can already tell that position coach Kyle Flood is foaming at the mouth to get some more big bodies in the boat. Seeing guys like Katoa and Krempin lock in their official visits early gives you an idea about who Flood and the offensive staff are prioritizing right now.

Texas is going to take a hefty number at the offensive line position this cycle and it has shaped up to be a great cycle to do so in-state. They will need at least two to three bodies that safely project to tackle and they already have one towards that number with Wright’s commitment. It will be interesting to see how things continue to unfold as we moving further into the spring and plans begin to solidify further.
