Sean Miller secures a key piece of the 2025-26 roster.

New Texas Longhorns head coach Sean Miller has another player in place for his first season on the Forty Acres with senior wing Tramon Mark announcing his return for the 2025-26 season on Thursday.

Rising sophomore forward Nic Codie made a similar announcement on Wednesday.

As a member of the 2020 recruiting class out of Dickinson, Mark signed with Houston, where he spent three seasons, including taking a medical redshirt in 2021-22. As a redshirt sophomore, Mark became a full-time starter and averaged 10.1 points per game before transferring to Arkansas, where he averaged 16.2 points per game during the 2023-24 season.

Returning to his home state, Mark battled injuries last season, including an ankle injury in preseason practice and a shoulder injury during SEC play. On Thursday, Mark is undergoing surgery.

The ankle injury kept Mark out for the first four games of the season, but the 6’5, 200-pounder was a key contributor when he was healthy, starting 25 of the 29 games in which he appeared and finishing fourth on the team at 10.6 points per game while adding 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest.

Starting in the SEC Tournament, former head coach Rodney Terry gave Mark the primary ball-handling responsibilities and Mark responded with 15 assists over the final four games.

Miller’s emphasis on ball and player movement should help Mark limit his tendency to over dribble to produce shots for himself. Improved health should aid his explosiveness and his mid-range jump shot after Mark shot just 34 percent on far twos in 2024-25.
